Lotus variation in shoulder stand is both a challenging hip opener as well as a highly beneficial emotional posture. With the heart above the head, and the legs bound and supported, there is both stability and expansion, wherein every part of the body fits together seamlessly. You’ll get the same benefits as shoulder stand, but engage deep focus as you reach for balance. Be careful to keep the head and neck in one long line so as not to crunch the cervical spine.
